Malawi Teas
Africa has 8 different countries that produce tea. Kenya is the largest, and the quality between varies greatly. Most of the tea produced in Africa is dedicated to the commodity market. Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Nigeria are all makers of tea, just to name a few. In Malawi, the Satemwa Estate tucked away in the shire highlands has been in operation since 1923. Satemwa Tea has most recently dedicated their operation to the conversion to specialty teas to promote community development.
